Frothing Tips and Tricks

Have you ever wondered why the person who prepares your favorite latte at the local coffee shop has the title of barista?
At first glance, it might seem a bit presumptuous.  Well, anyone who has ever used a frother, handheld or steam, will tell you that creating long lasting, beautiful foam is a skill.
Very rarely does one achieve it on the first attempt.  But, with our tips and a little practice, you will be creating delicious beautiful lattes at home, or on the go!  You might even insist on being called a barista.
The first time using a frother can be a frustrating experience.
So, here are some tips that will help you froth like a barista in no time.
1.Always put milk in a container that is deep enough to accommodate the milk when frothed.  Do not fill the container more than 1/4 full.
2.At the beginning of the process, hold the container at a 45 degree angle.  This creates a deeper pool of liquid at the bottom of the container.  Insert wand to the bottom of the container.
3.Once you have doubled the volume of the milk, begin to straighten the container.
4.Move the whisk throughout the milk.  Move it towards the top and the bottom.  By doing this, the entire contents will be frothed.  This will ensure long lasting froth.

Cafe Casa Milk Frother Quick Start Guide

Operation, Care and Maintenance

Before Frothing:
Only use new batteries when first using your frother. This frother has a powerful motor. Weak batteries can throw off the equilibrium and cause the frothing wand to warble. Slide the bottom of the frother off and insert (2) AA batteries. The (+) and (-) indicators are inside the cover.  The battery with the positive end up (+) is placed closer to the notched end.

Warnings Regarding the Use of Alkaline Batteries in All Devices:
Make sure batteries are not inserted backwards.
Never handle a very hot battery. Wait for it to cool.
Do not mix old and new batteries, or batteries of different brands, in the same device.
Keep batteries away from high heat and fire.
Never attempt to re-charge batteries that are non-rechargeable
In order to avoid short circuit, make sure battery jackets are not scratched by appliances.
Remove alkaline batteries from any device you won't be using for several months.

Operation:
Your frother has two speeds.  The highest speed is 15,000 rpms!  At this speed, you can whip a single serving portion of whipped cream.  It is also the best speed for non-dairy milks, such as soy or almond milk.  The lower speed still packs a punch at 13,000 rpm, meeting your average frothing needs. On rare occasions, with use, the stainless steel casing might slide up a little, making it difficult to turn the frother off. Gently pushing the casing down to meet the battery compartment will easily realign the frother.

Care and Maintenance:
Your Cafe Casa Professional Frother is made with durable Stainless Steel.  Although it is difficult to damage the integrity of the frothing wand, we suggest that you take care not to bend the frothing wand.  The smoothest operation will occur when the wand is straight on frother.
The frothing wand is easily cleaned by allowing it to spin in soapy water, rinse, and then spin dry.
The body of the frother easily wipes clean.  The one piece construction of the body allows you not to be overly concerned about splatter.  But, please DO NOT submerge in water or clean it in the dishwasher.
